Family Health Handbook at a glance
Family Health Handbook is a family health management product from JiaBenAnKang: a lightweight family health tool focused on recording the everyday "eat, drink, toilet, sleep" data of older adults and infants. It provides nine categories of structured records — eating, drinking, bowel movements, urination, sleep, medical visits, medication, vital signs and menstrual cycles — and layers custom reminders and rule-engine alerts, an AI health assistant, weekly health reports and multi-member family collaboration on top of those records. It is centered on the WeChat Mini Program, with H5 also available.
Health boundary notice: Family Health Handbook is a tool for recording and reminding on family health data and is not a medical device. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment advice or prescription services. Please follow the guidance of a licensed physician for any health decision, and call 120 immediately in an emergency.
Product & features
Family Health Handbook solves four kinds of family care pain points: "recording is inconvenient, reminders are not timely, collaboration is unclear and management is not sustained".
What is Family Health Handbook?
Family Health Handbook is a family health management product from JiaBenAnKang: a lightweight family health tool focused on recording the everyday "eat, drink, toilet, sleep" data of older adults and infants. It provides nine categories of structured records — eating, drinking, bowel movements, urination, sleep, medical visits, medication, vital signs and menstrual cycles — and layers reminders and alerts, an AI health assistant, weekly health reports and multi-member family collaboration on top of those records. It is centered on the WeChat Mini Program, with H5 also available.
How is Family Health Handbook different from an ordinary health tracking tool?
There are three differences. First, the smallest unit is the family rather than the individual, with five levels of role permissions and multi-person collaborative care. Second, recording leads somewhere: reminders and alerts proactively reach family members at moments such as a missed dose, abnormal vital signs or a long period without food. Third, it is purpose-built for the two most demanding care scenarios — older adults and infants — including Bristol stool scale options, batch vital-sign sharing, voice recording and an elderly-friendly interface.
What data does Family Health Handbook record?
Nine categories: eating (meals, portion size and food content); drinking (beverages and volume); bowel movements (Bristol type, color and amount); urination (condition and amount); sleep (falling asleep and waking times, duration and quality); medical visits (institution, department, diagnosis and the doctor's advice); medication (drug name, dose, time taken and adherence); vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, blood glucose, weight, height and more); and menstrual cycles (start and end, flow and cycle prediction).
Does Family Health Handbook require entering every record by hand? Is it hard to keep up?
No, you do not type everything out. All nine categories offer structured options and graphical pickers, with one-tap back-filling and batch vital-sign sharing. Voice recording (say one sentence and the record is done) and photo recognition (for medicine boxes, lab reports and similar images, to help extract information) further lower the cost of entry. Trend dashboards and weekly health reports provide positive feedback, which reduces the "give up after three days" problem.
My elderly parent cannot use a smartphone. Can they still use Family Health Handbook?
Yes. Care recipients themselves do not need to be able to operate anything: family members, caregivers or helpers can enter all records on their behalf. Self-sufficient older adults can also record by voice. The product additionally offers an elderly-friendly theme that enlarges text and increases contrast.
Can several family members provide care together in Family Health Handbook?
Yes. One family can manage multiple care recipient profiles at the same time, with data isolated between profiles. Members join via an invitation code, QR code or SMS invitation, and the family administrator assigns roles and authorization scopes. If you care for both your own parents and your in-laws, a single account can participate in multiple families.
Reminders & alerts
Alerts and reminders are triggered by rules set by the user and by data that has already been entered, and they are the most keenly felt part of the product's protection.
How do Family Health Handbook's alerts and reminders work?
There are two kinds. One is custom scheduled reminders, where you set the times you need for medication, measurements, feeding or daily routines — one-off, daily, weekly, monthly and custom-interval cycles are supported, and one reminder can carry multiple time slots (up to 8) managed as a group. The other is rule-engine alerts: the system continuously scans the records already entered, automatically identifies risk moments — a missed dose, abnormal vital signs, a long period without food — and reaches the family.
Will the alerts bother me too often?
By default, no. Alerts have a cooldown (the same rule is not re-sent within its cooldown window) and a quiet-hours policy at night, and the delivery method can be configured per family member. The goal is to avoid notification fatigue that leads users to switch notifications off and lose the protection altogether.
Can free users use the alert features?
Yes. Three high-frequency alerts that form a safety baseline — missed medication, abnormal vital signs and a long period without food — are open to free users and are not held back by a paywall; more complete alert rules and customization come with the paid plans.
Can alerts be missed? Can this be used as medical monitoring?
It cannot be used as medical monitoring. Alerts and reminders are triggered by the rules you set and by data already entered; if data is not entered, is incomplete, or the network fails, they may be delayed or may not fire at all. Family Health Handbook is a tool for recording and reminding on family health data. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment advice or prescription services and is not a medical device. Please follow the guidance of a licensed physician for any health decision, and call 120 immediately in an emergency.
AI capabilities & limits
AI capabilities are grounded in the recording and comprehension steps to lower the barrier to use, not to make medical judgments.
What exactly can Family Health Handbook's AI do?
Five main things: health Q&A (streamed responses to family health questions, using the member profile as context); photo recognition (upload a medicine box, lab report or skin condition image to help extract key information); voice recording (complete a record by saying one sentence, with live waveform feedback and a confirmation card before saving); daily summaries (condensing the day's records into a readable summary); and AI health analysis (personalized health suggestions generated from recorded data, kept as history for later review and comparison).
Can I trust the health advice the AI gives?
AI output is positioned as health information comprehension and lifestyle suggestions. It is for reference only and does not constitute medical advice. All AI-generated content carries an explicit disclaimer. We also sample AI output for quality and collect feedback, but any decision about medication, diagnosis or first aid must follow the guidance of a licensed physician.
Is there a usage limit on the AI features?
Yes. AI capabilities have a monthly quota that depends on your plan: 5 per month on the free plan, 100 per month on Monthly and Monthly auto-renewal, 500 per month on Yearly, and 1000 per month on Family. Quotas are calculated in real time; once you exceed yours, you can wait for the next month or upgrade your plan.
Data security & privacy
Family health data is sensitive personal information, and we process it under the principles of "minimum necessity, explicit purpose, user control".
Will other family members see my health records?
They are shared only within the authorized scope. Family health data flows inside the family according to role permissions: the administrator has full access, caregivers can read and write within their authorized scope, and observers (such as adult children living elsewhere) have read-only access. Every data operation passes a record-ownership check, and out-of-scope access is denied.
How does Family Health Handbook protect sensitive health data?
Technically: encrypted storage for sensitive fields, encrypted data transmission, data integrity signatures (used to verify that records have not been tampered with), least-privilege access, and an audit trail for key operations. Managerially: we follow the principles of minimum necessity and explicit purpose, and personal information is in principle stored within the People's Republic of China. See the Privacy Policy on this website for details.
Can I export or delete my own data?
Yes. The product supports full JSON export per family so you can keep and migrate it yourself; CSV / PDF report export is available on paid plans. You can also delete records directly, or request account deletion. After deletion, a recovery channel remains available during an agreed cooling-off period; once that period ends, we will delete or anonymize the data in accordance with the law.
Does Family Health Handbook collect information unrelated to the service?
No. We do not read your contacts, text messages or photo library. Images are obtained only when you actively authorize it for photo recognition, and only for the images you select. The platform does not sell personal information; data is processed only within the family authorization scope, by necessary infrastructure service providers, and in circumstances required by law.
For more detail, see Security & compliance, the Privacy policy and Filing information.
Subscriptions & payment
The product offers a free plan and several paid plans, with the entitlement matrix designed around three dimensions: the number of care recipient profiles, the number of family members and the AI quota.
Does Family Health Handbook cost money? What plans are available?
It offers a free plan and several paid plans. The free plan is ¥0 and includes 2 care recipient profiles, 4 family members and 5 AI uses per month. The paid plans are Monthly at ¥19.9 / month (first month ¥9.9), Monthly auto-renewal (first month ¥9.9, renews at ¥14.9), Yearly at ¥99 / year, Family at ¥199 / year, and a review-based Student / low-income plan at ¥49.5 / year. There is also a trial tier that cannot be purchased directly and is granted through campaigns or rewards. Prices, entitlements and tiers may change with operational policy; the version published inside the product prevails.
What are the main differences between the paid plans?
The core differences are in three dimensions: the number of care recipient profiles you can manage (2 free, 5 to 10 paid), the number of family members who can join (4 free, 10 to 20 paid) and the monthly AI quota (5 to 1000). Longer trend analysis windows, weekly health reports and data export also come with the paid plans.
How can I get free service time?
There are four main routes. Signing up grants 7 days. Consecutive check-ins of 7 / 14 / 30 days grant 1 / 3 / 7 days respectively. Successfully inviting a family member grants 15 days each; reaching the 3-person and 5-person milestones tops the total up to 60 days and 120 days, and a new member joining grants the inviter an extra 7 days. In addition, the birth of a baby and a family elder aged 70 or above each grant 30 days.
Will trial or gifted entitlements be charged automatically when they expire?
No. The trial tier is granted through campaigns or rewards and is not a purchase, so when it expires it simply falls back to the free plan with no charge. Renewal rules for subscription plans are disclosed at the time of purchase and can be viewed and managed inside the product.
Institutional partnership & integration
We provide enterprise platform capabilities to eldercare and care institutions, community health service points, health management and medical check-up institutions, and home-care and maternity-care service companies. See Solutions for the full capability set.
Can nursing homes, communities or home-care companies integrate Family Health Handbook?
Yes. JiaBenAnKang provides enterprise platform capabilities to eldercare and care institutions, community health service points, health management and medical check-up institutions, and home-care and maternity-care service companies. These include operations console accounts, member and entitlement configuration, alert rule templates, data dashboards and report export, with API integration, feature customization and private deployment assessment available on request.
What do we need to prepare on our side for integration?
Usually only three things need to be clarified: the service population and its scale, the existing service workflow and role division, and compliance requirements (whether graded protection, industry data standards or private deployment are involved). Based on that we provide a capability combination recommendation, an implementation path and a delivery checklist — not a generic quotation.
How does the institutional side meet compliance requirements for family health data?
The platform builds compliance requirements into the product as capabilities rather than post-hoc patches: consent records are traceable and queryable; sensitive fields are stored encrypted with integrity signatures; ownership and permission checks separate the family administrator boundary from the platform administrator boundary; key operations are auditable; and users can exercise data portability through full JSON export; CSV / PDF report export is available on paid plans. See the Privacy Policy and the Website Filing page for details.
